My love for beauty began to take shape, grow, and come to life through my role as a campus minister at St. Mary’s in College Station. We had this simple idea as part of our ministry to host a thanksgiving potluck. I was put in charge of the event and this little event unlocked a part of my heart that had never been opened before. A heart seeking to bring beauty in the little details, a heart longing for people to encounter beauty, for them to walk in and be captivated by beauty, and to let that beauty point them to the Beauty we are created by and for. Since then, I’ve been able to live into these desires, I’ve been invited to let this part of my heart beat fully, through weddings, events, homes, bringing beauty in ways I never imagined. It is a gift to create a space that makes others feel at home and that fosters an encounter with the beauty found in God.
